Susanna & Weston..Married!

Congrats to Susanna and Weston! This wedding was so much fun to photograph. Their ceremony began at the First Presbyterian church of Ypsilanti, Michigan and the reception was held at Hutchinson Mansion. They decided to let me photograph when Weston first saw Susanna in her wedding dress on their wedding day. He looked a little nervous, as he bent over leaning on a wall with his back turned as we approached. His eyes lit up as he turned around to see his beautiful bride. And that she was!...With her elegant hair, complete with white feathers and curls. Her dress was eye candy ... with its ornate, creamy, flowing design. My shutter was going off speedily as Weston first laid eyes on her and they embraced. It really was so exciting!
Later at the reception, everything was decorated very well with a fun atmosphere in mind. They even had a milk fountain with oreo's for dipping!
Here are just a few of my favorite pictures...but there are, of course, more to come.

Susan & Jerry..a married couple!

It was a beautiful sunny day for Susan and Jerry on their wedding day. Their garden wedding was located at the Historic Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The setting was simple and sweet ... with purple accents all around. The Bridesmaids were beautiful and the Groomsmen were dapper in different shades of purple, a nice yet, uncommon choice of color. During the reception, there was dancing, good food, and lots of laughs ... especially as the groom (and his groomsmen) danced around. They had a great sense of humor! One things for sure though...Susan and Jerry were made for each other and were full of joy on their beautiful day. I feel so lucky I could document it for them. Here are just a few of my favorites.

Susanna...

All I have to say is...Wow! Okay, that's not all I have to say.....
It was so much fun taking these bridal photos of Susanna. She was so happy and fun....a complete natural. And...If only I could have had a dress like that for my wedding! Just breath-taking. She said she wanted something romantic. Do you think we pulled it off? I love the result.
More to come...

Christine & Phil

Above: I was experimenting with a little HDR effect.

A closer view...

Here are just a few of my favorites. This wedding couple had so much personality...sarcastic to the core. They had me laughing so often I wondered who was supposed to be making who laugh?
Their beautiful outdoor wedding began at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens with an intimate ceremony and was followed by the reception held on gorgeous family property. It was a pleasure photographing this wedding...I mean, look how gorgeous the bride looks in that knock-out dress!

An Elegant Wedding

A closer view.... mmmmm!

Her beautiful accessories!

This day was full of adventure and beautiful high-class style for the wedding couple. Unfortunately, I can't show you how drop-dead gorgeous the bride looked, due to her religious reasons. I will say though, that she was so genuine and pleasant that it made my job easy.

I am happy to post a few of the delicate details ....
Wow, I absolutely loved the experience photographing this Muslim wedding.

Tim & Shane

A few fun album spreads...
A closer view...

What a pleasure it was to photograph this couple's wedding. All the guests talked about was how sweet and wonderful Shane, the bride, was. And, it's true. No bridezilla here...anything but! She was so genuine and thoughtful. I could tell that her family and friends just adored her and her new hubby was so in love that you could see it every time he looked at her. She is the kind of bride every photographer wants to get. They were such a sweet couple. It truly was so nice to be around them.
This all took place in Lansing Michigan on the Michigan State University Campus. The ceremony was in the MSU Alumni Chapel and the reception took place in the Lincoln room at the Kellogg Center. What a great choice!
Thank you Shane and Tim for giving me the pleasure. Here are just a few of my favorite images.
